Tears for the Dolphins

Pitt recently instated a bag tax policy that only allows students 15 plastic bags per semester. Each bag after that costs 25 cents. This poem is dedicated to all the dolphins who suffer from too many plastic bag hats.

bags
so many bags
clinging to a dolphin’s head
what to do
stop it. end it.
no more bags
carry your fucking chips in your hand
you don’t need a bag
the dolphins have enough hats
you don’t need a bag
fifteen. that’s all you get.
fifteen. and you’re all set
carry all you want
for twenty five cents
but beware
the dolphins are crying
